In the spring of 2003, Northcentral University (NCU) received initial accreditation from The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. As a newly-accredited institution, NCU was scheduled for a reaffirmation process in 2008.

In order to reaffirm accreditation, NCU is participating in an extensive Self Study and hosted an evaluation team, February 25th–27th, 2008 — officially designated and confirmed by the HLC as NCU’s Reaffirmation Site Visit. The review is part of a continuing process to improve the University and meet accreditation standards.
