The Admissions Process

NCU conducts academic evaluations of your college transcripts and will accept credits in transfer appropriate to your NCU degree program subject to the following standards:

Official transcripts must be sent directly from the Registrar of your prior colleges or universities to the Registrar at Northcentral University during the application process. Only official transcripts will be evaluated.

Up to 90 transfer credits will be accepted into the Bachelor's programs for relevant undergraduate coursework, 6 credits into the Master's programs for relevant graduate coursework, and 30 credits into the Doctoral programs for relevant graduate course work.

NCU Accepts Transfer Credits from regionally accredited colleges and universities and from institutions approved by a foreign nation's Minister of Education where their approval process is comparable to accreditation in the U.S.

NCU Accepts Transfer Credits, on a conditional basis, from schools, colleges and universities that have national, specialized, or professional accreditation recognized by the U.S. Dept of Education. The majority of credits toward a degree must be earned at NCU.

Courses, degrees, and course credits from schools, colleges and universities that are not accredited may be accepted based upon the licensing and oversight standards of their home state, and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for conditional acceptance.

International Transcripts

Applicants submitting foreign credentials will be subject to a credential evaluation. Official documents of all coursework must be sent directly to NCU from the awarding institution. If the transcripts are in a foreign language, an English translation is also required. NCU may evaluate foreign credentials in-house. For any foreign credentials NCU determines must be evaluated by an outside evaluation agency, NCU will notify the applicant of the cost and NCU will send the necessary documents to the agency approved by the University.
